Our fees and costs:

Professional Service Fee

At Grahams our base professional service fee is made of the services we provide to you. This base fee covers our facilities which includes the availability of family viewing rooms, arrangement rooms, our ability to be available 24/7, liaising and having the ability to access medical documents as well as discussing paperwork with the medical professionals and rest homes/ hospitals, surgeries etc, filing documentation with the local authorities as required, registering of the passing with Internal Affairs, arranging of certified copies of the death certificate, paying expenses incurred on your behalf,after funeral grief services and personal attention. This fee allows us to be operational from our 3 sites while maintaining our buildings, fleet of vehicles (including both transfer vehicles and hearses) and to have a team of qualified and experienced staff (funeral directors, embalmers and support staff) to care for the deceased, and of course other associated business costs such as power, phones, internet, insurance etc. This fee enables our embalmer and funeral director to be available and to work after hours, the cost of preparing the selected casket, and preparing for further viewings and doing all the above in a timely manne. This includes meeting with your family or representative, liaising with external providers and coordinating service requirements, directing the funeral, registration of the death, administration and management, provision of 24-hour service and personal attendance. These costs range from $2400 to $4200 depending on the services you require. Services taking place on weekends or public holidays will attract an additional cost.

Mortuary Fee
Our mortuary fee is for the care of the deceased, it includes all associated costs with this part of our services. From $650 to $1200

Cremation Fee
From $690

Transfer Fees
A transfer refers to the movement of your family member, from the place where the death has occurred to our funeral home. From $400

Hearse Fee
From $250

Doctors Fee
Every doctor’s fee can vary. Approx $200-$300

Medical Referee Fee
A medical referee is required to sign off on the cause of death as stipulated by the doctor. $50

Death Certificate
Births, Death and Marriages issue and charge for the Certified Copy of a Certificate. Grahams will provide you with additional copies certified by our on-staff JP. Original copy $33

Celebrants & Clergy
Approx $250 – $650

Death Notices
Death notices are charged – NZ Herald from $200

Photo Tribute
Over time, funerals have started to embrace technology, photo tributes are now common at funerals and are a beautiful way to remember your family member $380

Webcasting
Our Tuakau Chapel has in house cameras set up for live streaming and recording from $350. We can also arrange a team of professionals to live stream a service at any venue from $850
